Is it bad to frequently use the same technical term in my dissertation?
I feel that for consistency I should't be changing the technical terms I am using, but it seems every paragraph of my dissertation has the words 'mitigation of soil liquefaction' or some combination of those words and it feels wrong to be using them so frequently but at the same time necessary.
I know when writing, the same adjectives should not be used extensively and the a wider range of vocabulary should be used, but is the same true for technical terms?
