A Philipsburg man has been charged with disorderly conduct after he began using "offensive language" and refused to leave the Key City Diner in Lopatcong Township, police say.

Scott Derringer Jr., 25, of the first block of Summit Avenue, at 2:39 a.m. Sunday entered the diner, 985 Route 22, and began yelling, police say. Employees of the diner told police what Derringer had been yelling was offensive and he refused to leave.

Police say Derringer was uncooperative with officers and disturbed other patrons.

Derringer was charged with disorderly conduct following the incident. A court date is pending in Lopatcong Municipal Court.
