Quanrtity Surveying Dissertation HELP!!

Hi guys i'm just about to start my dissertation.

My title is "Will the implementation of BIM kill of the quantity surveying proffesion"

What do you think guys?

Whats your views and why?

I hope you're submitting it as 'kill off' and not 'kill of'. I think that using the phrase 'kill off' is a bit unprofessional and would be better asking whether it will make it 'redundant' or something instead.

My initial thoughts are that the two wide-ranging subjects of BIM and the quantity surveying profession are (at this stage of implementation) still disconnected. The role of the quantity surveyor is continually developing and now encompasses much more relating to project management, contract administration and on-site work than just measurement and pricing.

I don't understand why so many people want to write about BIM when the adoption of it across the UK seems to have been stagnant and reluctant.

I guess it all depends on how far off into the future you're looking and how much your research suggests that BIM will develop.
