Anti-feminist women.

Just been reading a thread where a male has repeatedly tried to encourage a female to post pictures of herself and then in the same thread the same user told another female to stop sleeping around and being a whore.

I seem to see this a lot on TSR, Along with many posts that are radically anti-feminist.

Also there seem to be a lot of females on here who don't want to identify as feminist.
I personally identify as a feminist (as I have stated on a recent thread). However, I love men and am a big advocate of male issues too.

I would like to know, if you are a female who does not want to be seen as feminist, what is the reason?

I'm an equalist ^-^
Because radical feminists ****** the term "feminist" completely so now a lot of people immediately associate the term with those women that like to blame the patriarchy for everything, claim we're all misogynistic for silly reasons and so on.

The meaning's got all twisted and people don't really like what they think feminism stands for.

I don't feel that that example is necessarily "anti-feminist"...

I wasn't saying that was anti-feminist, I think there is a lot of anti-feminism about though. I am simply asking for opinions about it. I find it interesting.

That incident, whilst it wasn't anti-feminist, it was degrading towards women. He actually said to this girl that 'women who have sex before marriage are ****ing whores' but in the same breath was asking for pictures of them. I don't think men are like this in general and that's why it's shocking how much I see it online. Is this because people are anonymous?

If I hear one more person say "BUT if it isn't about female superiority then WHY isn't it called egalitarianism/equalism instead?!!" I will seriously castrate myself

Being anonymous will stop people from holding back about their feelings, so you might find people being d*cks, yes.

That particular hypocrisy of asking for pics but calling women whores for having sex before marriage sounds like a religious belief, poster was maybe muslim, they like the no sex before marriage rule for women last I heard...

That or they're just... a mong, I suppose.

Because the term 'feminism' alludes to the traditional inequality between men and women, and the fact that women have previously been treated as being inferior. The term 'egalitarianism' does not highlight the actual gender divide in the same way. While women and men's rights should both be championed, it's important to recognise the way in which women have been (and in some cases still are) treated as being of secondary value to men.

Steady on there, I am anti-feminist but I would like to think I'm not degrading towards women, and certainly would not support the behaviour of these semi-socialised trolls on here. I don't see what any of that sort of stuff has got to do with opposing feminism in the first place.

Yes, because of anonymity and depersonalisation people are ***** online to almost anyone who displays a weakness of some sort: the narrative has been that women are an eternally oppressed minority, like the disabled, ethnic minorities etc, thus they are seen as natural victims for those who wish to bully others. It's not really because they are women per se, bullies will find anything that is seen in society as a weakness and use it to hurt people.

I get it in the neck too for other "weak" stuff like daring to support socialist politics and not bombing Muslims back to the tenth century, you have to give as good as you get or rise above it. Nothing intrinsically to do with being a woman.

They asked a legitimate question to which I gave a legitimate answer. That's not nagging.
