I was just wondering now if anyone knew how many applicants Lancaster university had for history and how many places and also how lenient they are on their grades

No idea about how many applicants/places this year. One indication of 'leniency' might be the fact that they have been in clearing for History the past two years. However, that does not mean they will be this year. In addition, they might prefer to find students in clearing rather than take applicants who failed their offers.
