Hiya. Looking at studying history at Uni..any of you got real hot tips on history books you're so glad you read before you started Uni or that you could not be without?

No problem. The Black & MacRaild is an excellent introduction to the topic, including practical skills. You can pick up second-hand copies quite cheaply on Amazon, Abebooks etc.
Civilisation by Niall Ferguson is brilliant and I would suggest to everyone.

It depends which areas of history you're interested in tbh. History spans so much :tongue:.
