Accommodation in Leeds in a Nutshell, from a Second Year's perspective.

Kirkstall Brewery-

Good if you're going to be based at the Headingley Campus. Around a 25 minute walk to Uni as opposed to he 50-60 minute walk from Opal.

Decent for Parties (however Opal wins this round)

If you decide to do Promo work (Great way to meet new people and make a bit of money on the side) not too far from the No Curfew offices, like 20 minutes away (decent nights, but Voodoo events tend to be more staff friendly and Voodoo offices are 3 minutes away from Opal)

Has a huge Morrisons which is relatively cheap, also shuts at around 10:30PM

Not too expensive to get to town if you take a taxi (for nights out)
Taxi drivers charge extortionate amounts so just use Uber or Amber Cars.

Rent is pretty cheap, compared to Opal. Pretty much save enough for a decent 75cl Bottle of Vodka or other spirits of your choice (Every week)

Opal-

Great for City campus students, no more than 15 minutes away.

Better for Night life because you're close to everything around town.

Has a Tesco Express that closes at 11pm not too far away.

Right next door to the Voodoo Events office (if you choose to do promo work)

Slightly more expensive, but taxis are much cheaper if you wanna go into town (Normally just nights out because if you go to City campus, you can just walk the distance)

Can't really comment about Sugarwell or private accommodation like I.Q or Unite. But I've heard good things about Private accommodation.
