I read what ArmyJobs wrote and what exactly is the problem? I think it was completely reasonable for them to bring up a job opportunity that she might not have considered. I think we all know OP isn't actually interested in anything anyway, she thinks of excuses for absolutely everything.

In response to her reply about rather being homeless than join the army ArmyJobs asked her if she considered selling The Big Issue.

She said she'd rather be homeless so that's actually sound advice if you want an income.

If we were in 1940's Germany, and the OP was unemployed your advice would have been ''Beggars can't be choosers, get a job in the SS''.

'Beggars' do not have to lower their moral standards and as much as they want employment, they have every right to choose not to work for an organisation whose prime purpose is to destroy human life whether that organisation is seen by it's government to be necessary or by the majority of it's people to be necessary. And it doesn't matter whether that organisation's motives stem from good or evil - if you disagree with killing human beings the motive for doing it is irrelevant.

Edit: Our own government agrees with this on some level because they do not force JSA/UC claimants to work in the Armed forces, they force them into Poundland and Tesco.

Comparing the SS to the British army? When was the last time you left your house?

There is bullying in Uni?

(ofc there is, but it's just very sad  )
Original post by whorace
OP seems to have a victim complex so i'd relax, of course there is bullying, just not sure in this case.

ok

I don't like bullies
You should not have left university. Bully can be reported. And you just needed 1 year and a half to finish.

1. Research and identify the top 5 easy to get in jobs (most/all of this are going to be physically demanding)
2. Identify the areas that are demanding these jobs and have less candidates
3. Apply to those areas
4. Volunteer in the meantime
5. Go to step 3

Someone once wrote about a 'traumatic incident' they had experienced and 'handled' when applying for a Paramedic role...the traumatic incident was her best friend broke her nail and was very upset. I wish I was joking. Recruitment is brilliant.

There has to be something you're not doing right. Has a family member or a careers advice team seen your CV? I mean to be rejected by so many employers can't be just luck or coincidence.

She said the recruitment agencies checked her CV and said it was ok.

Go on that site. There have a lot of volunteer opportunities in many different sectors. I used that site to find work experience when i was a fresh graduate, I only volunteered a couple days a week, so still had time to go to interviews and do what i want. They paid for my travel and food too. so you can look further out.

Would the OP need experience? I've never volunteered before...but I would like to volunteer.

You're doing something wrong, obviously. Your posts give off a serious short tempered and victim complex, maybe that reflects in your CV.
Don't worry, I understand. It's very hard to find a job these days. I have worked in jobs in the past plus I have loads of work experience YET I still find it hard to get a job.

In your case I think the problem is that you need experience to get a job, but you haven't found an employer who's willing to give you the experience you need to get a job. It's a catch-22 situation.
should we justify OP's comment up there?

Is everyone but you a ********?
If that's you in the photo, pornography can be a viable option.

No you don't need to have experience.. that's the whole point of volunteering lol. I volunteered in IT because i had no relevant experience in it and thats the field I wanted to get into. If you want a job in retail, volunteer in a charity shop, If you want a job in admin, volunteer as an admin... Some sectors will be hard to find volunteer opportunities though it just depends on the field.

Have you thought about self-employment? If you're struggling to find work through an employer it might be worth considering it as an option.

Do you have any hobbies that you could make money from? It doesn't have to be a big earner, just something that would pay the bills while you look for something more permanent.

Or even any skills that you could offer as a freelancer, you mentioned you passed some courses on Marketing and Business/Admin, so there might be some small companies or individuals who might need some marketing or administrative help for a short term. There's a lot of online boards where people list services they need/have on a freelance basis.

This is good advice for the OP, and it is something I have considered myself. I like the idea of being my own boss, and if an employer isn't willing to give someone like myself a chance, then I will.

I have a blog which I have been running for a while and I have monetised it. I hope in the future to get more opportunities through my blog, such as freelance work and paid internships. I hope to make good money from my blog too.

Do you know of any good websites where one can find paid freelance work?

I know I'm not the one you asked but no, most volunteering posts don't require previous experience.

Lol I totally understand, it's just that some places ask for CVs and experience, which is weird for a volunteer position, and it creates a catch 22 situation.
BTW what do you want to do for a career?
