And just because they found someone whose DNA was traced back to a 9000 year old man does not mean yourself or I can say the same thing. In fact, I'd wager that man is a rarity. We've had thousands of years of immigrants to this land, and they've all contributed to what we think of when we think of England.

Romans didn't immigrate here, they just occupied the island, same with Vikings and Normans. The few who came just married into the natives and became English.

The English identity comes from the Anglo-Saxons
