She gave me a love poem!

So, a girl in my university year gave me a love poem, she nervously came up to me, gave me the poem then hurried off. Inside it has verses/stanzas about how she 'loves me so much it hurts' and then it has her email and phone number to arrange a time for a date. I am up for taking her out on a date, some of my friends have been very disparaging though, saying that she is a loser and not worth my time, which I think is a bit unfair. Anyway, what should I do?

2) Get new friends if the ones you have think like that.
3) If you want to take the young lady out and you like her then do it.

Ye, I bet your friends are just jealous. I bet they want to tap her so they don't want you to. lol. also not many men get a love poem these days.
