The Student Room Group

OCR MEI FP3 3rd June 2015

I don't think there's a thread for this around so I decided to make my own

Out of the topics, which 3 are you doing and which one's the hardest out of the three?

I'm looking to do Vectors, Multi-variable Calculus and Differential Geometry :h:

I have been revising Vectors, Multi - Variable Calculus and Groups. Not to sure about groups but that is what my teacher has taught us so I guess its to late to change now! What have you been doing for revision?

Using the Mark-schemes for model answers on things I'm stuck on and just going over past papers really.
The structure is pretty much identical which is nice:redface:

Have you learned all of the topics yet? I've completed everything except a bit of Differential Geometry and all of Markov Chains

Also, I think this will be useful for anyone taking the exam!

It's a summary sheet on everything in FP3, I'll just attach it heereee:biggrin:

Vector geometry is annoying:yep:

But it isn't as annoying as multivariable calculus or as tedious as groups so it's not that bad:mmm:

Plus, there's a bit of vector geometry in some of the other units too so there's no escape:colonhash:

I love Groups, by far my favourite chapter out of all the modules I'm taking! But yes, multivariable calculus is similar to the vector chapter.

Ohh silly me:colondollar:

It looks like not many people are taking this unit:colonhash:
What other A-Levels do you do?

Only we are brave enough to step-up to the challenge! I am doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing, yourself?

Hahaaa, this ordeal is definitely not for everyone... It takes a true warrior to carry this burden upon our shoulders:mmm:

Maths, Further Maths, Physics and...economics:erm:
All intensive:colonhash:

Sounds... fun! How did you do in Maths/FM last year, and which modules have you picked?

Did okay, declined extra time though so I'm taking it again with extra time.
I got a high-end B

FP3, FPT, NM, D2, D1, M1, S1 and S2 :colondollar:

I personally thought S1 was easy, barely harder than GCSE Stats!
