Am I asexual? O.o

I've never watched Pornography, never had sex, never been on a date, and never been in a relationship for longer than two weeks. I have no problem kissing guys, but I can't go further, so I don't think I'm gay. And I rarely think about sex altogether. Despite not being the best looking, opportunities have been there, we always just mutually decided against it.

And now that I'm 22, I'm starting to consider whether I'm actually asexual. My question is, do you think asexuality exists? And if so, do you think you could be in a relationship without sex?

Seriously, I'm like a plant :')

Some people are asexual but still have sex. Other asexual people are repulsed by the thought of it. Asexuality can be quite a broad term; are you sexually attracted to anyone?

This and this are two informative reads.

I have been in the past. I think I may be the first one, because the thought of it doesn't repulse me, but it doesn't appeal to me either. Thanks for informing me!
I'm an 18 year old guy and I think I might also be a bit asexual myself, I like the idea of having someone to be there for and the companionship side of things (emotional stuff) but I'm not interested in sex.

Your orientation according to the articles I have read is hetero-asexual, as you have kissed . However being just asexual is not having any sort of sexual interaction.

I find it ridiculous the number of labels there are for the way you feel about someone, why can't it all just be labelled as love and that be the end of it?

i am not obsessed with sex but I do love it so no I don't think I could be in relationship with an asexual guy but then I'd probably feel more secure with one
Asexual I thought meant that like you can have an orgasm to something nonsexual like orgasm to a balloon.

Because fetishists like people who like things other than sexual organs and people who like objects are known as asexual. If a guy comes to rubbing a chick's foot, he is technically asexual b/c now he doesn't have to actually have sex but still gets off. :s-smilie:

There literally are people who hump cars like there's this programme called "My Strange Addiction" and people are in love with like cars and inflatable toys and blow dryers and **** :mute:.

So Idk OP. Have you ever had an orgasm or sexual thoughts about people? If so, you ain't asexual. I know I know everyone wants to fit into a category somewhere, even the strangest of categories, but this might not be your category. Go find another :h:

Yes it sounds like you are, you should explore why that is in both a physical (hormones) and mental way (far more likely)

I'm sorry, did you ask me a question, and then answer it yourself? O.o

I'm fairly indifferent towards 'fitting in' to a particular category, especially when determined so by people I don't know. I am regardless, curious for your opinion and thankful for you sharing it. From the input on this thread, I'm finding a range of ideas that I haven't even considered before.

In regards to your question, I haven't had an orgasm thinking about someone, rather concepts and ideals. You raise an interesting point though. Does the ability to orgasm exclude me from asexuality?

That's completely understandable. It is, after all, an important component to the majority of adult relationships. So thank you for saying so. Do you mind me asking why you think you'd feel more secure?

When offering a gesture, I prefer to give plants rather than flowers. My sister thinks I'm crazy :')

Sigh. No. I never said anything about the ability. Not having the ability to ejaculate means you've got way more issues than being asexual :lolwut: lol

If you cum without stroking your penis or being in a vagina, mouth or anus/sexual orifice, and then cum while making out with an inanimate object or smelling a fruit, kissing a foot, etc

or

if you've had your penis stroked, in an orifice, and do not cum, but you have a normally functioning penis, balls and sperm

you are most likely asexual.
If you don't experience sexual attraction (note; sexual arousal, sexual action and sexual desire are all different to that) then you are asexual.

The way it works if you're asexual but still like to be romantic with people is you change it to ____romantic instead of ----sexual.

Ex. if I was asexual, but romantically attracted to only guys, I would be a homoromantic asexual.

But then you get demiromantic/sexual and the grey area which is just a whole other issue.

I guess I could just be into weird stuff that I just haven't come across yet :') I also don't get repulsed by sexual activity, it just doesn't cross my mind.

What about you?

So if we're going by labels,I'd classify myself as heteroromantic?

Demiromantic? Sounds interesting, would you enlighten me?
Demoromantic. Jesus Christ with all these progressively fake sexualities. I feel these random terms legitimise an otherwise bull**** fetish and mentality toward sex. :facepalm2:

If you're a guy who wants to date girls yeah.

Demiromanticism is extremely difficult to explain (partly because I don't really get it, but hey) so have a link

Normally I would disagree because I think a lot of sexual terms do have some decent grounding, but in the case of demiromanticism and demisexuality I simply cannot understand why they need the term. The links for them are above^^^

Oh and grey-romantic/asexual is for anyone in the grey area which does have more credibility.

I just read them, thanks but now **** sake. Who established these terms? Is it some societal thing like "bootylicious" and "swag," or is it from a school of psychology and medicine?
