Surrey vs Kent for computer science

Hi

I've gotten conditional offers at both Surrey and Kent and I wanted to know how it's like studying and living at both universities.

I've been to both open days and I liked kent more but I really want to have the option of working in a part time job at uni. It is possible?

A another big part in which university I decide on depends on the social life. Kent seemed to have lots of events going on whereas Surrey seemed quiet. I didn't really get to see Surrey's computer labs during the opening day so i'm not sure how good the department is. How are the tutorials and lectures like there? Kent had a "shed" that was dedicated to electronics and general tinkering with things but I didn't see anything like that in Surrey
