Difference between electrophilic addition & nucleophilic sub

So say you're given a reaction. How would you know if it's EN or NS just by looking at the reaction?

Look at the reagents. Nucleophiles are attracted to positive regions and donate 2 electrons to form a covalent bond (usually have lone pairs) electrophiles are attracted to negative regions and receive two electrons forming a covalent bond, and as such are usually positive
