can i take a gap year after doing a foundation year?

I dont think i can but i am not entirely sure either?

I'm also interested in this, did you find out? My friend did her foundation year and then had time off for a year or two, she now wants to go back but not sure if it's possible?

Different universities will have different rules, so your daughter will only find out by asking the Admissions Office.

It depends if its a standalone foundation year or its in the combined course. Standalone then take as long as you like, but best check with wherever you intend to go that it poses no problems. Combined, then its like any interruption of studies and you need to talk to your department. the procedure for suspending your studies will be on the website or in the student handbook.
