**** I'm so scared Tories will win now.

Poll

Are you okay with another Conservative government?

The race couldn't be tighter but Conservatives seem to have the edge now according to polls. How can people stand another FIVE years of austerity? Another five years of being ''represented'' by people who don't understand us? Five more years of people who undermine our constitutional rights? Five more years of seeing the super rich getting richer?

I am not happy with the Labour party. I think them trying to be pragmatic is now turning into them losing their values. They began as a party formed by the working men to defend the working man but now they are so much lost in the game of politics that I can't identify with them as they used to be. But still, the conservative party threatens the very fabric of our society. Sooner or later, the day will come that profit will win over the people and our democracy turns into corporatocracy. We will have an Americanised welfare state and the British way will no longer be as we know it. Please vote Labour. Any alternative is better than destruction of our values and undermining of our rights. Ed Miliband is not as bad as he may seem. PLEASE don't let our society disintegrate. Five more years is a long time.
People of Scotland, I love the SNP and I believe Nicola Sturgeon is an amazing politician, but let's give Labour another chance. Let's keep the Tories out together. Let the ordinary man take back his power. Let us have a united front against those who wan't profit before the people.

Perhaps you need to think about why and question your assumptions. Perhaps the 10m+ people who vote Tory believe they do understand them. Perhaps they want austerity, perhaps they don't believe they are undermining their constitutional rights...

Why should Scots vote Labour? 'Another chance' isn't really going to cut it. Why would it be in Scots interests not to vote for a party dedicated to getting a better deal for Scotland?

Are you scared because you think you will personally be worse off under the Tories?

Surely Labour being pragmatic is the only way it has won any elections since 1974...
Unless you're incredibly wealthy and live in a 2 million pound house, you really are pissing on your own leg voting Tory. The Tory party: rich people paying rich people to tell middle class people to blame poor people. They are a party of the few and I can't understand why anyone who's not wealthy votes more them. 5 more years of ideological cuts , of our public deceives being shredded. Of the NHS being privatised bit by bit. Of poor people becoming worse off. Whilst at the same time letting those at the top get away with murder. Labour aren't perfect no, but they're a damn site better then the alternative . For one they actually care about people at large. You're entitled to vote Tory, but don't pretend you are about poor, sick or disabled people. Don't pretend you care about society . At least thatcher had the decency to stab you in the front. Don't pretend you care whilst supporting Tory policies.

You're biased peasants who rather blame the Government for your own misfortune than accept responsibility. Get up and find a way to succeed, there are countless possibilities, otherwise shut up.

Thank you! This is the best thing I've read today and I agree with every single thing there. Exactly, I don't get how come anyone not wealthy would vote for them.
Just stop to think a minute about what austerity actually is and why it's needed - Labour ran up a huge bill and kept borrowing to fund spending. After they got kicked out someone needed to get things under control and try and get the country back on track for the longer term. Do you actually think Tory politicians (or any politician, for that matter) like to be in this position? Don't you think that everyone would rather have a healthy bank balance to be able to afford to spend on the things which are beneficial to society? I'm not saying the Conservatives are fantastic, but they at least understand the situation and are taking steps to tackle the problem. Labour would keep on spending and let someone else pick up the tab. "The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money".

"Ed Miliband is not as bad as he may seem" is hardly a ringing endorsement from a Labour supporter.

You can't be tory and care about the poor, disabled and the sick.
The two are mutually exclusive.
At least Thatcher had the decency to admit she didn't care. Don't pretend you do.
I'm going to have a good laugh at you lot if Cameron emerges as one with most seats, it will be priceless.

Well I don't really care about the poor, most are responsible for their situation. Why can't I care about disabled or sick people though?

But why should they take that money from the police and the social housing? Why not from the banks or those who have more than they need?

But even if he gets the most seats, it is still unclear whether that ****er PM of yours can form a government.
I wouldn't believe the polls. They're biased.

Vote UKIP tomorrow!! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Both of you proving Conservatives aren't very nice people and certainly aren't to be trusted with ordinary people's livelihood.

I don't get why you're acting like the country has went downhill in the last 5 years and it's due to the Conservatives. I can honestly say no part of my life has changed in that time. It's the same as always. Conservative or Labour, it doesn't really matter who gets elected, they're going to go ahead and do whatever they want anyway and people are going to find a reason to complain about them.

I completely disagree on your view of the SNP and Nicola Sturgeon, I despise her and the party. I'm Scottish and considering voting Labour purely because I think they are the only chance of keeping the embarrassment that is Nicola Sturgeon from winning.

But make no mistake. If Labour gets elected then the "ordinary man" won't take back the power. Nothing will change. It will be the same as always. These parties have run the country for decades, have all the same protocols and contacts in industry they have always had. The same deals will be made, the same people will benefit. They aren't going to suddenly change how they do things. The only way I see anything changing is if one of the smaller parties gains any kind of power, like the Greens, UKIP or SNP

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see every service fully funded, but unfortunately there isn't enough money to do that. Here's a list of 50 cuts from the Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/budget-2015-50-cuts-tory-led-5354805 I have no idea if that's accurate or not, but you can see that a lot of them affect every member of society, not just the poor or the wealthy. Every department (less those ring-fenced) has had cuts. Yes, it sucks. No, politicians don't like having to preside over them. Banks and businesses pay a lot in taxes, as do the wealthiest in society through higher tax rates. Could they pay more? Perhaps. But then there's a risk that they'll relocate outside the UK (see HSBC's comments this week for a real example of this being considered) and then you'll get nothing from them in tax. Without their taxes you'll have less to spend, and the cycle goes on. It's about setting the right balance, and Labour have shown they cannot do that. Do you honestly believe the Tories will keep these measures in place forever? No, of course not. And that's why millions of voters will be voting for them tomorrow. To get the country back on track.
