Anyone ready for CHM4??
So how's everyone coping with the revision and is anybody ready to sit the exam despite the fact that we will be taking it in about 4 weeks time.
I'm feeling the same, I hate the organic part's you have to learn for CHM4.
sure zoobot. 2AL + 3h20 > Al203 + 3H2 and the reaction is with steam at 100C not with water also a thin layer of oxide prevents AL from reacting with water. Also the acid base character of period 3 oxides is
na20 = basic
mgo= basic
al203 = amphoteric
sio2 = acid
p4010 = acidic
cl20= acidic
Also as you go down group 3 the oxides become more basic as the atomic number increases the ionisation energies decrease and it is more energetically favourable to form cations.

ready to pass the exam at an ok grade not ready to do as well as id like!
The only advice I give you is to practice loads of exam papers, trust me am doing that right now and it helps alot
