Sad song suggestions?

What's the saddest song you've heard?

I need songs that are about people leaving each other and not going to see each other again, but other sad songs are welcome. I'm thinking vocals and a piano and not much else, or maybe one of those sad rap songs?
Thanks!

Back in my embarrassingly edgy days, I knew one song called Falling Inside The Black or something, by Skillet. It's not in either of the aforementioned categories, though...

I think Portishead treads the line of sadness so incredibly well, love listening to them

but Radiohead goes too far

Anathema's One last goodbye I always found pretty heart-wrenching. Song written after the singer and guitarist's mother passed away. Didnd't expect I'd be bawling away when I saw them do it last month.

I love the more acoustic version as well (I always loved Danny's voice just as much if not more than Vincent's on the original, he wrote the lyrics so maybe why. Unfortunately the version from the live album isn't on youtube :frown: I think this is a fan recording from the same show though:

Fix You by Coldplay
See you again-Wiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth :frown:
Also How Soon Is Now? and Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths can be quite sad...
I second whoever said My Immortal
Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton is pretty devastating when you know who it is written about.

Also pretty much all DSBM:
A really sad song for me (because growing up sucks) is Ben Fold's Still fighting it and it's mostly piano/acoustic guitar.
