Really bad sudden hair loss

Hi, for the past year or two my hair has started receding and thinning on top. I am only 19 and no one in my family has hair loss, my dad is 60 and still has a set of hair (grey though), my older siblings/cousins all over 20, have full sets of hair not receding in the slightest, and they use gel and stuff almost everyday whilst i try keep mine natural. my grandparents all had hair when they past away, and all my uncles still have full sets of hair. So literally no one in my family has experienced it so I doubt it can be male pattern baldness?

When I am in the shower my hands are covered in hair when washing, when I wake up my bed is covered in hair, during school whenever I get up from the table the table is covered in hair. I have pictures of myself this time last year and the change in hair is crazy, it is really not normal. I went to my GP but he didn't really say anything. Has anyone got any ideas?
