Mourinho tomorrow if Arsenal score first and he actually has to respond with a proactive set up.

Maybe he'll ask Cesc for some advice on what Wenger would do?

great banter
Also loving how Arsenal fans are dishing out banter to a manager they haven't beaten for 10 years, genuinely hilarious. Deluded twitterkunts

A complete embarrassment to Arsenal football club.

That Tony fella couldnt be more Chelsea if he tried FFS, cant even look at the camera straight.

Picture him in 3/4 length shorts and a Hackett polo on the prowl in Benidorm

Having said that, Claude is a disgrace to AFC generally.

Meh, if the best Barcelona team of all season can't break down a bus that has Jose Bosingwa playing as a Centre-back, how on earth is an attack consisting of Demba Ba, Torres, Salah and Eto'o going to do it at Palace away. Not to mention their goal was a Terry header where he did everything right, just poor communication between himself and Cech.

Think City and Liverpool only managing to get 84/85 points whilst scoring over 100 goals is worse considering the attacks they had/and City the defence. Pelligreni owes the refs so much, because CIty should have been home and dry in April with that squad.

Not saying we didn't f*ck up, refs had a bigger impact on our results than other sides, Skrtel punching the ball away against City for example. Games played in other competitions does matter as well. Liverpool were playing one game a week, bar maybe two a week every 3 weeks and even that was only till March for the FA Cup, from January to May. City had the league cup so the two semi's, plus making up their games missed, whilst we had the FA Cup and Champions League ties away to Turkey, PSG and Atletico. Was surprised by how good your side was, but playing one game a week certainly had an enormous effect.

82 points isn't even a bad amount of points really, that would have won you the league in 2012 iirc.

Mourinho chose his strikeforce, he chose to sign Eto'o instead of X big name European player, which Chelsea can and do attract (or Costa a season early, given he was available for 20m). Ba had a 20 goal season in him for Chelsea if he could score 16 for Newcastle, and was underplayed. Eto'o scored at every 130 minutes across the campaign, which is properly elite and puts him at 3/4th best ever in the PL. Mourinho underplaying Ba and playing Torres ruined his season, and that's on Mourinho and Mourinho alone.

You're essentially trying to put it down to limited resources and I think that's just unfathomable.
Mourinho could have managed his strike force better I agree, but even with better management or even signing a big name European player (none of which were really available bar dropping £50m+ on Cavani/Falcao, Costa had yet to really demonstrate his value) we still wouldn't have been able to match Liverpool and City in terms of goals.

Poor season by Mourinho's standards, but to call 3rd vs. two 100+ goal teams with an almost impeccable top 4 H2H and CL semis "atrocious" is a stretch.

Salah is a good player, Mourinho didn't coach him well. Likewise Ba, who came up with the big goals as soon as he got given games. Eto'o scored at a rate that only 3 people have ever better over their PL careers. Mourinho chose Torres and neglected the others and it comes down to him. There's no relevance to the Barca crap anyway.

Never mind what the others did, focus on what you did. 82 is poor and nowhere near what a club with the team and squad Chelsea had that season should be getting. Mourinho was poor that year.
Bendtner lmfao  saving Wolfsburg from Bayern and winning the German Super Cup... wow, the guy equalised for them in the 89th minute 1-1 and won it for them on the last spot kick WfL 5-4 Bayern... Crazy

Impeccable top 4 H2H means sweet f all if you can't pick up the points against the lower teams. Sure, I gave him credit for CL semis but quarters should be the bare minimum for a team of Chelsea's resources and he's only gone a step further really, it's not ground breaking. Well managed but not enough to hide up the league failings.

Forget what the other teams did, focus on your 82 points. It's poor and not what you should be getting. You wouldn't have needed to outscore the others, just score in the Palace, Villa, West Ham games at the end of the season. Costa was showing his worth, enough to make Jose and Mendes negotiate a deal for him at the start of 13-14. Regardless, Chelsea generally have the pick of the options in Europe that Barca, Bayern and Madrid don't take, and he chose Eto'o, and then mismanaged his strikers. It's on him. His tactical inflexibility and inability to break down buses cost you.
82 is only a win off winning the league.

Salah was a good player wasted a bit, was ineligible for CL so didn't get a string of games, apparently didn't into Mourinho's approach of getting his wingers to track back. Eto'o was essentially our first choice striker from January onwards, Torres' European record for us is very good which is where he got the majority of his starts. Ba scored some very important goals, but let's not kid ourselves, he has the touch of a rapist. How is the Barca stuff not relevant? Pointing out how difficult it is to break down a team that just defends, let alone one that defends then counter-attacks, no matter what attacking resources you have at your disposal.
Because everyone else had to face the same teams in the league that year. If Eto'o was your first choice striker (and scored at 1 every 130 which is elite) and Ba came up trumps whenever he was given game time, then why are we complaining about Mourinho's strikers? Essentially you're agreeing he had the resources and yet got 82 points, finished behind a poverty Liverpool XI and 4 points + GD behind your rivals City.
I'll give you 5/10 because I replied a couple of times.

Calling them 'superfans' is just ridiculous. Having mental breakdowns on YouTube and faking a suicide doesn't make you a 'superfan', it makes you a c u n t. Obviously there are famous Arsenal fans like the bear but the concept of a 'superfan' didn't even exist until these melts from AFTV rammed their heads up their own ars*s.

Hmph, that is LORD Bendtner to mere mortals.
Bendtner's very underrated, people only mock him because of what he said.
I swear Bendtner's now behind Bas Dost in the pecking order at Wolfsburg

Yes there's no comparison to be made, when did Giroud score the winner in a big game?

He's mainly reliant on his physicality, which encompasses him playing and holding off defenders to lay the ball off, and then when in the box to get the jump on CB's. He's good at it, very good but Diego is all action, he can run the channels, he's pacy, strong, can dribble, immense work rate and lethal.

What counts as a winning goal? I'm guessing you think the goal against city and Liverpool don't count as one? So costa only has one all season, not that impressive for a striker that you're fawning over as a big game striker.

Giroud doesn't rely on his physicality. Been a weak pounce and complaining when he doesn't get decision when he's been barged off the ball is an idiosyncrasy of his and actually one of the criticism people have of him- it gathers a good few groans from the Emirates crowd. He's also very good at running the channel, the guy makes excellent runs especially in his first season before wenger changed it overwhelmingly to him linking up with everyone else. Watch him please.

Only thing I'd complain about giroud is his lack of ability to beat a man one on one.
