I see  would a score of 50 be okish for this paper, or is it weak (not related to edexcel exams)?

Posted from TSR Mobile

it is a good score.

I have several students this year which most will get A*
I would never dream of giving them these papers
I estimate their scores between 10 and 30 (out of their total)

Oh ok, thanks! I got disappointed at first since it's not even 70% :P

You posted this somewhere recently and I took it to try later on, though I cannot find where. As the question doesn't have a mark scheme attached, can you check my answer for part b please.

I've attached the question and my answer.

I made this beautifully disgusting question on a worded differential question during one of my lessons on Monday.
(not even in my site yet)
It is for those students who find the standard differential equations too mundane ...
I will put the solution up by Friday.

sorry about the delay of solution

For several days there are some annoying comments that I am Arsey and Arsey is me!

For the record we are 2 separate individuals.

Arsey is clearly a teacher (currently working in school covering the EDEXCEL board).
Having immediate access to the papers he puts his personal time up to write solutions for the users of this forum.
He is clearly a busy man as he only frequents TSR around exams times.

I by contrast do not have direct access to papers and instead, having semi-retired for a while now, I write my own (IYGB which are available free on my site) and occasionally I help out students.

I am sure Arsey will say he is not me!

On a lighter note please vote on who do you think is really me in one of the 7 pictures in my profile.

I never even thought you were Arsey!

Two brand new differential equations with related rates of change suitable for EDEXCEL students mainly.
They were made in one of my revision lesson today, and are of "general consumption difficulty" as my student finds the topic hard. Solutions on Sunday

Apologies that I am using this thread like my office during exams...

The trigonometry question I am posting is for the very able as a challenge ...
you may post attempts if you wish.

I will post the solution on Tuesday
