What was question 7a asking again?
Hi Mr M thanks for posting this :smile:how many marks do you think i have lost:
*for q3iii i left the answer as 625root5, instead of writing it as 5^k
*for q5ii i think that i wrote 6x+8y-29=0 instead of -8y
*for q8iii i wrote k as k>25/8 with no minus and sign wrong way round
*and q10iii i wrote 40 then crossed it out and wrote 50, but how many marks for finding Q and R, and writing that area=1/2basexheight ?

If someone gets 68/72, and the grade bounday for an A is say 64, what will be the persons UMS?

For Q10iii you,ll probably lose the A1 mark

it was differentiating one, don't remember formula but integrating it, it wld have been -x^3+5x^2-3x+c

I was wondering how many marks I'de lose, if i got the area wrong due but the two points corrects and the base x height/2 correct too, (i got the area as 21 because i unexplainably changed a 0,8 to a 0,5).
And how many marks for forgetting to put down one of the y answers for the simultaneous equations question, but working out the two x co-ordinates (leaving one as 28/6).
Also where do you think the A grade boundary would be as well as the marks for 100 ums?

Find f'(x).

Find the gradient of y=x−13y=x^{-\frac{1}{3}} when x = -8

Q3iii) Gain 1 mark

Q5ii) Lose 1 mark

8iii) Gain 1 mark

10iii) Lose 1 mark

Drop 1 mark in each case

I don't guess boundaries but I'm fairly sure you will need 72/72 for 100 UMS.
