2016 University of Edinburgh Hopefuls

Hii, I couldn't find a similar thread for Edinburgh (please correct me if I'm wrong and there's one already?) so I thought I'd make one for all of us currenty in Lower 6th thinking of applying next Autumn so we can share tips ideas or whatever :smile: Feel free to share as much or as little about yourself as you want.

I'll start -
GCSE grades: A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A*A
A Levels: English Literature, French, Spanish, Russian, Maths
Predicted AS grades: AAAAA
Course: English Literature/ English lit with Spanish or French, not sure yet

Both of you seem to have good grades. If you keep on the right track you should have a good chance of getting in.

A piece of unsolicited advice: with course choices make sure you pick the subject you're most interested in, don't worry about employability or admissions statistics.

Can we bump up this post haha, anyone else wanting to do Politics or Political, Economic and Social History? Also which accommodation you planning to stay in - I'll probably end up in Chancellors court
I'm maybe applying for 2016 entry for Geology but haven't decided yet because I'll be 17 for the whole of first year and I'm not sure if it's a good idea going so young.

National 5's: AAAAAA
Predicted Highers: AAAA (Geography, English, Maths, Chemistry)
Cools anyone out there doing biochemistry? I think I'll apply to Edinburgh even though it might be a little dull for me as I've always lived here but it's nice! :smile: but yeah I think I want to do biochem...

Int 2/National 5: AAAAAAAAA (1)
Higher: AAAAAAA (1)

I think there're actually quite a lot of 17 year olds in the first year. Just a word though - Edinburgh is pretty relaxed with your age, but Durham is not. Don't apply to Durham, because they defer you :frown:

Cambridge, Durham, Bristol and Sheffield :biggrin: Edinburgh will be my second choice after Cambridge but I'm crapping myself for my AS results :colonhash:

Haha ahh thats cool, quite similar then! Edinburgh is my second too - then Durham. Next week is going to go by so slowly...Im so scared!
