Simplify the x powers to get 2/(root x) = (3/2) root x. Then multiply both sides by root x to get 2 = (3/2)x.

Yes, 0.5 is square root,
-0.5 is 1/square root

Im just not sure what to do with them?

So this gives you 2 / sqrtx = 3sqrtx / 2

Do you know where to go from here?

Oh yeah, that makes sense!

Thank you!

Ah yeah, so 2 = 3/2x
so x = 2/(2/3) = 4/3
it makes sense now, thank you!
