Well, I have no clue but I can try to guess by what you said. If LSE really gives out 3 offers per place, then I would suppose KCL gives out about 5-6 offers per place. LSE is one of the hardest unis to get into and they also have higher requirements than KCL.
So let's say there are 12 applicants / place at KCL (that's just a guess, but you can find the numbers on their site) then you should have a fair chance of getting an offer atleast- something like 50% =]
Maybe I'm just a freak, but this seems logical to me =]

On the site it says 60-70 places, 10 apps per place. I would imagine you are about right, they probably do give more offers per place. Then again maybe they don;t because there are far more places... :s-smilie:

Whether they give more offers per place or whether there are more places gives you about equal chances to get an offer =]
Lets say LSE have 30 places and 3 offers/place = 90 offers
KCL = 60 places and 1.5 offers (it will be more though) per place = 90 offers =]
true, but lse only give 11 place :O
