Geology - typical first year timetable?

Hi there,

I'm trying to get an idea of what my first year timetable will be like, so I can start to think about how I will arrange my schedule outside of university (study time, work, etc).

Could anyone give me a rough idea of what to expect each week? Or even better, an EXACT idea of what to expect each week, heh.

Timetables tend to change between years and don't usually get finalised until just before the start of term. The Which? page for Geology at Manchester says you'll spend about 28% of your time in lectures and seminars, which would work out as roughly 12 hours a week.

Hopefully you'll get a more accurate answer from a current Geology student but they still won't be able to tell you your exact weekly timetable.
