I saved the answers for the multiple question on my calculator, these are not right!! Especially the first one its suppose to be B

How is it?

Error 1: There shouldn't be partial charges on the Chlorine
Error 2: The arrow should go from the double bond to Chlorine, not the other way around
Error 3: The Chlorine in step 2 should have a lone par/negative charge to make it a Chloride

Error 1 is wrong. You can show partial charges on the chlorine.
It was wrong because they had them the wrong way round. The arrow from C=C should have gone to a delta positive Cl ion not to a delta negative Cl.

First of all, it's a multiple choice question so how can "especially" apply? Second of all, C was but-1-ene. The question was: "which of these does not show E/Z isomerism?" and but-1-ene doesnt.

I'm remembering the long response ones and yay unit 2

Yeah me too actually! last part of Q20 is the whole diagram thing exo/endo

He's just writing his answers, chill. He's not the freaking examiner lmao

Im sure the question was which on does show E/Z isomerism? :s-smilie:

And plus, he got his wrong anyway.

No, it was in bold: Which of these compounds does not exhibit E/Z isomerism?

Stupid arrow! I phrased it so weirdly.

I didn't quite say about the arrow going from chlorine to double bond :frown:

aw :frown:
Does not

was it -795 for the born haber? if yes think I got 19/20 ,meh

how did u arrive at this?? did u have to turn any signs around??
For the questikn on the carbocation why are people mentioning inductive effect and methyl groups , doesnt that only apply to addition of hbr to unsymmetrixal alkenes
second last question the mas was 7.45g!!
Reply 55
The born-haber was -242 (roughly)... no?

you just went round in a circle lol
was too easy to be true, but turns out it was

Which born-harber are you talking about? I remember the bond enthalpy being something like that, but the born-harber I think was -795 or something...
the minimam mass calculation :

250 x 4.18 x 25= 26125 /1000 = 26.125kj

26.125/ (x) moles = -192
so to find x rearrange > 26.125/192 =0.136 moles x Mr = 7.5 ish ... i dunno if it was -192.. close to
