Does it matter at what uni you study if the course is accredited?

If the psychology course is accredited by the BPS, does it matter at what university you study?
Surely it depends on what career you end up going into? If you want to become a pschologist and see patients, then I would imaging that an accredited course is pretty much essential. If you are planning on going into a less related career (e.g. business) then it probably doesn't matter and they may be more interested in which university you attended instead.

From what I've heard, as long as you go to a fairly good uni then companies won't really care exactly which one - the league tables change so much each year anyway. They probably care more about what grade you get (most ask for a minimum of a 2:1) and what experience you have (try and get internships in the summer vacations).

Yeah there will always be more prestige attached to some unis even if the courses are supposed to be equivalent.
Oxbridge>Imperial/UCL>rest of Russell Group>upgraded swimming pools.
Different unis have different quality teaching, and different optional modules available, regardless of prestige.

TSR generally over-exagerates the importance of which uni you go to. Someone who has spent their summers doing work experience, got a first, and has good references, will be seen as much better than a oxbridge applicant with none of those things. Going to a better uni doesn't guarantee success, although it might make doing the above things easier.
It certainly does matter whether the courses are accredited - many people find themselves doing a conversion course or a 'GBC' exam if not!

Another thing to consider is whether the course is a BSc or a BA.
