The newest media witch hunt rears its head

I don't agree with what she did, but here we go again with the pitchforks and flaming sticks mentality.

Even if she were prosecuted, which is unlikely, at most she would probably get a conditional discharge. How is it that the public and the media are allowed to inflict what is probably a life sentence (in terms of this being all over the internet and media) and emotional trauma? I mean, can you imagine being this woman right now?

I really think we need to crack down on this trial and punishment by media for trivial 'offences'.

Although I don't condone witch hunting, you can't really prevent freedom of speech, unless you wanna live in an Orwellian society.

Totally agree; Ron Jonson has written a superb book about the tendency on social media to humiliate, harass and publicly shame people. It's a feeding frenzy
