Marketing Management query

Hi all,

Well I finally got my UCAS application off last week!

Now, I have half a thing on my mind.

For one of my choices I have selected Southampton Solent to study International Marketing Management. Which is different to the standard Marketing Management by in Year 2 you study abroad.

Now this does interest me, but I am just a bit aprehensive about it especially with me getting a grade G in French at GCSE  and not studying a language after Year 11.

Do you think think that this would come into their minds when considering my application? Seeing as though I will be abroad (i.e. adaptability to another country).

Basically, I have spoken to UCAS about this and I am considering ringing Solent up to ask to have my application transfered on to the standard Marketing Management.

Standard:

International:

Could you not go to a country that speaks English? Eg America, Canada, Australia?

My friend did International Business with a year abroad, her lack of language ability had nothing to do with it - she went to Canada (Vancouver).

Yeah I can do.

I spoke to admissions there earlier on and asked them about this.
He said that generally they wouldnt look at that as (like you say) they have affiliates with universities in English speaking countries i.e. USA and Canada

Thanks very much
