Answer:

From this article we learn a lot about the issue of rainfall and flooding in Britain. firstly we learn about which parts of the UK receive the most rain; " The North and west normally gets plenty of rain- often more than what they want- but the south receives less". this broadens our knowledge about which parts of Britain have the highest amount of rain. this helps us to understand more about the weather conditions in our country.

Later on in the article we witness how serious this problem is. it starts to tell us about how houses in the UK desperately need to reduce the amount of water they are currently using; " Recent reports have predicted permanent water rationing in the South East by 2025" this informs us which part of the country is under the threat the most of needing to decrease their water usage. we also understand how water is going to be rationalized to try and fix the problem by 2025.

We also learn a staggering statistic that also tells us the extent of the water problem facing Britain. "already flooding is twice as frequent as it was 100 years ago". this article helps us get a better understanding of how the problem facing Britain is increasing rapidly.

we also learn that the " cost of damage could rise from an average of 2 billion a year to more than 25 billion" this is another statistic that helps us learn about how much money the water problem is costing Britain and how the problem will continue to cost a high amount over the next decade.

In the last paragraph we are informed about the measures being taken to significantly reduce the extent of the problem and how hopefully these measures will be take the problem under control soon.
