I find licking out pretty fun tbh, I don't see what is so bad about it. I'm assuming you guys are in an intimate relationship, I really don't see the problem with going down on her. If she loves it, you benefit anyway. Just like every guy loves a girl who gives good head (btw if she's giving you head then you really should reciprocate), girls love it too.

It's really not that bad, the idea that it always smells of fish is ridiculously overblown, it never has in my experience. It's probably as important to her as her sucking you off is important to you. You can't not reciprocate. If there's nothing to reciprocate it's okay not to do it though.

Licking out can be fun and get you a good response -- if you know what you're doing.
