PPE A Levels Advice

Hello all,
(I'm new here so please go easy:biggrin:)

I understand these threads pop up quite frequently so I apologise in advance for contributing to the pile.

I'm currently in year 11 and wish to pursue PPE at a top university (ideally Oxford).
I would like to take subjects which provide a sound, versatile stepping stone to both PPE and similar courses (if I change my mind).

At the minute I was planning on taking: Maths, Economics, Philosophy and History.
I have also considered taking Government and Politics and was debating the idea of studying Italian privately in my own time-although I feel this may negatively affect my performance in my other subjects...

So, my question is:
Could my subject choices be improved?

Thank you much for any answers:smile:
I am literally doing exactly the same, and hope to go on to PPE at Oxford.
I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Gov and Pol, Physics, and Spanish. There are no specific subjects needed
however I thought that Gov and Pol would be good for the Politics side, and Maths is good for the economics.
