Can I enter a course with an A*AB when the requirements are AAA?

I'm looking to study Medicine and I ballsed up my AS levels a little bit. I achieved A - Chemistry, B- Biology and only a mid C in English Literature. Unless I 98% my English Lit this year, which I doubt, I'm going to end up with a B in the subject. I'm on track for an A* in Chem, possibly an A* in Biology as well, but definitely an A, and I was wondering if Unis looking for 3 As would consider an A*AB set instead? I mean, the grades average out but that may not be the point... any advice is welcome.

Youll have to phone up and ask them individually.
A guy i knew had to phone up every single uni in england to find out if he would be able to apply anywhere with AAB (Only BSMS did fyi).
Odds that you will be able to is high, but youll have to ask.
Just wait until you get your grades then start phoning up

Thanks for the response, it's much appreciated!
Think that it depends on what the unis actually offered. If they said they want ... ucas points then it should be fine but if they are specifically asking for an A in that subject you think you are getting a B in you may need to talk to them. Hope that helps:smile:
