Will 1 C at GCSE ruin my chances at medicine ):

4A*, 5As 1 C ): i hated french. Will this ruin my chances?
No it won't as the rest of your grades are A/A*'s and as long as you get at least A's in your a-levels you will be fine.

What does French have to do with Medicine? It'll be fine. Just get good grades at A-Level and they won't even look twice at your GCSEs especially with as good other GCSE grades as you have.

Just choose unis which don't base their offers heavily on GCSE's. Some such as Cardiff, which I applied for, have a grading system where your GCSE's are given points out of 27, and I think you need around 7A*s for full points.. Check on the uni websites for more detail  but generally speaking no, as long as you have lots of As and A*s anyway. Hope this helps
