Beta glucose - AS AQA Biology

So the question above, for my answer I circled the OH group on the right side of the first beta glucose and then a Hydrogen for the left side of the beta glucose of the right, but judging by the mark scheme this isn't correct. Could someone explain why to me? thanksssss

not sure but i think it would be the OH group on the top right of the first glucose, and just the H from the OH group on the top left of the second glucose.
I believe you're correct. What does the mark scheme say?
It shouldn't matter which side the OH and H was from. I'm almost certain that you're correct.
It must be a mark-scheme error.
After checking the Mark Scheme for that question, I can confirm that either way is accepted as it states:
"Two marks for box round two hydrogens and one of the oxygens from OH group on carbons 1 and 4"
it's a ß1:4 link, so you need to count the C atoms from the O to get to the right ones!
