The square OABC is transformed by the matrix to OA'B'C'
|-0.5 -0.5|
|-0.5 -0.5|
Show the image on a diagram, labelling each vertex.
I know O is (0,0) A is (1,0) B is (1,1) and C is (1,0) but when working out the image of each vertex using the matrix it doesn't seem to make a square anymore, for example I get A' is (-0.5,-0.5) when the actual answer is (-0.5,0).

To find the new position of each vertex you need to multiply the matrix by the coordinates of the vertices.

So for A' the matrix multiplied by A will give (-0.5,0).
