Pets at Home Interview/Assessment Day

Hi! (long post coming up)

I've been invited to an assessment day for a job at Pets at Home on Sunday (07/06/2015). I've always wanted to work at a place like this, I currently work full time as a Receptionist/Admin Assistant for an Insurance Broker but really want to get out of this job into a more animal related role as Animal Care is my career path. I've also worked as a cashier in a garage. It's only a 16 hour Store Colleague job but PaH vacancies rarely pop up in my area so I'll take what I can get.

Anyway, my question is has anyone ever been to one of these interviews before/do any of you currently work there? What does the day consist of? Do you have any tips on how to stand out from the rest of the group?

Also is there opportunities to pick up extra shifts and such? I'd like it to potentially turn into full time work but also looking at going college if it stays part time, but would obviously like as much work as possible with my pay decreasing with leaving a full time job to part time.

Thanks, I'm super excited about this and really want it to go well!
