The big thread of questions about Track status

Until very recently, the application status page on Durham Track told me:

Your application has been received by the University
Your application has been received by the Department
Your application has not been received by a College

Now it just says:

Your application has been received by the Department
Your application has been received by a College

(i.e. the first line has been deleted).

Is this normal? And if so, what does it mean (if anything?)

Thanks!

Mine says -

V100 History - ft

* Your application has been received by a College
* A decision has not yet been made. Please visit the UCAS website for further details

I'm confused now!! UCAS hasn't changed anything. Have they or have they not made a decision?!

You are getting an offer. The only decision still to be made is if you are going to get your first choice college or you're going to another college. It will only show up on UCAS track after the college has made a decision

Don't worry  I am hoping everything'll be ok!!
Mine came up with your application has been recieved by the college
Then 6 days later got a letter offering me a place! :-D
Although UCAS and the Durham track still hasn't updated!
Reply 12
Oh, so I am more likely to get a letter than an update on Track..!

Durham Track is junk, don't live your lives by it, UCAStrack is much better.
So far UCAS hasn't changed for the past 8 weeks since I sent it off so im getting a bit bored with the blank double column. Durham track is soooooo cool it removed a bullet point!!

Yeah, the first line disappeared for me, but my department still has my application.

Does anyone else feel that the longer they take at the department the less likely it is for them to make an offer?
Reply 16
Well mine had been at the department for weeks.

Nope. They might just have a huge pile of applications. If the dept wants you you will be found a place.
i applied to Castle..and whilst at Oxford i kept hearing "yea..i was rejected from Durham last year..well obvs tbh..i applied to Castle which is the most oversubscribed..."

we wont be rejected on purely the basis of # of places @ Castle?
