I agree, probably more like 142 or something around that.

I thought it was a hard paper for people who aren't good at maths. It was challenging but doable personally. I know I got 5 k one wrong but the cone I got h=7pi + 6. I don't know what I did but it looks right to me. I just don't know if it actually is. :s-smilie: Who else attempted this!!

I don't think it's that because the question specifically said 'Give your answer as a fraction in it's simplest form', but you'll probably get marks for your method!
Guys an A for the last two papers have been 133-_-
so it could be lower

I had a fraction but then cancelled it down. Oh I don't know I feel less confident then.
I'm thinking 164 for an a* what about you guys?

think it was 3

(√12-√3)(√12-√3)

12-√36- √36+3
12-6-6+3 = 3

I got this too
Apart from a few questions, it was relatively good, the cone question really annoyed and the transformation at the end, rest was achievable. June 2014 paper was slightly easier then this i think, so it's probably going to be similar grade boundaries

I think that the majority of that paper was slightly easier than past papers, but a few questions (grain) were super hard and it was tough for some questions figuring out what to do.

Based on the first 130 replies and allowing for skewness it appears that we are looking for highiish boundaries ...
Although my expertise is not GCSE, my personal estimates are:
around 70+ for A,
around 85+ for A*

That's higher than previous grade boundaries - A is normally 67+ marks
Can someone get a b in paper 1 and somehow still manage to get a* overall by doing extremely well on paper 2?
