what diagram can i use....:tsr2:

for a statement concerning atoms, would it be ok to use the follwoing diagram saying that atoms mainly consist of empty space...

is there any evidence of experiments to say that atoms are mainly empty...
ive found so far that geiger and mavsden made the discovery that alpha particles passed through a gold foil unimpeded....
is there any other supporting evidence???

That diagram doesn't really show the emptiness of the atom really well, I don't think. Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atom

The gold foil experiment is best to show the emptiness.
