was I raped?

Okay so a few years ago, must have been about year 10 I was talking to this guy and we had already met before. so I went to his house and I knew things were going to happen sexually and I was okay with it. however, I was a virgin and I knew I didn't want to have sex and I told him I didn't. he didn't listen to me and continued to put the condom on and he tried to put it in me (sorry for too much info). I kept on saying no but I don't think he was taking me seriously... I guess I didn't sound serious but I was. he finally gave up because I kept moving and he couldn't actually get it in. I have brushed it off since then (I'm now year 12) and I wouldn't say it has affected me, but I never saw him again and I don't ever want to. Was this rape?
