Ahh yes Pirate Porn. :p: And I think I'm going to have to download a daily episode of Deal or No Deal, it's pretty much the only show I CAN'T live without!

We haven't even felt the need to get a tv for the kitchen. Talked about it but never actually did it which proves that you don't actually need a tv. Not sure when I would find time to watch anything and when there is time we just watch dvds instead.

That said, if anyone is willing to let me come over to thiers and watch Doctor Who when that starts I will love them forever..

I'm sure you'll get campus accom but i think it will just be the remaining places, don't think you'll get a specific choice. Might be wrong though!

Just wanted to ask if everyone got their first choice accomodation? If not, how many of you didn't? It seems like Rootes is the number one choice for a lot of people, but what about JM; is it usually popular?

    Thanks

If you say the right things then you should get the one you want.... generally if you put rootes first choice you'll get it. Places like AV which are more oversubscribed - if you say things like 'I go to bed early, am quiet and want somewhere quiet so I can study' you should get it. Bear in mind though that this means you will be put with people who are like this

Using *** for swearing, I got reported it would seem. They disappear in a couple of days anyway.

I put 1. rootes, 2. whitefields and 3. westwood, left it at that, and they put me sharing a single room in westwood.

    Go figure...

    Got rootes

I said 'loud...always going out...don't mind smokers, don't mind musicians or loud music playing...plan on coming back early in morning....very sociable' I got exactly the kind of people I wanted as crazy and loud as me. Be honest- they do it t put you with pople you will be well suited with!

In Rootes you are only allowed to smoke in your room. I think that is true of most halls.

Go for Claycroft if you like to be socialable and like partying but also want to work some nights instead of going out...it's really only a 5-8 min walk to the Union or to your classes...2-5 min walk to Tesco, good for when you get the 3am cravings

Hey guys having read through this thread, JM sounds really good.

The only thing I was wondering was, what sort of things would be good to put down on my application form?

I'm a non-smoker but sociable, late sleeper etc....wow this is beginning to sound like a personals ad...
