Creative Writing A2 Examination

Hi! Does anyone know much about the A2 examination? I've got it in a couple of days and unlike last year the paper doesn't say a proposed word count. Does anyone know whether, in a 3 hour exam, writing a poem along with the commentary would be a proper response to a creative writing prompt? Thank you.
