Asian Americans have filed law suits against Harvard University because of its unfair practice of discriminating against Asians in favour of other minority groups.

The only that is happening, is that Asian students are getting their “N*gga wake up call” and don’t seem to like the taste.

I don’t know what makes some Asians believe white people want to be surrounded by them, anymore than white people want to be surrounded by black people.

Of course it’s wrong for Asians to be restricted by an “unwritten” policy that is imposed on them because of “race”that being said, instead of focusing on the racial discrimination, this new movement against Asian quotas, is actually being tied to Affirmative Action.

Asian groups that recently filed lawsuit, are complaining about Affirmative Action and wants the policy to be removed. So many Asian (Like yourself) have aligned yourselves with the white supremacists, the same type of people that didn’t want Asians to get through the door 50 years ago– this is what happens when people don’t know history.

Which makes more sense ? Trying to correct specific flaws within a purposely flawed system ? Or trying to correct the system itself ? About a century ago there were eight Ivy League institutions: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and the University of Pennsylvania. Since then, the U.S. population has more than doubled, yet these are still seen by most as the most elite and highest ranked universities in the country.

The reality is that they could have developed twice as many top-rated elite universities, or doubled the student capacity of the existing Ivy League schools through annex campuses, remote learning, extended hours, increased staff.

The system is built not on academic parity, but on scarcity and access. The Ivies are the Ivies because of “reputation” and “public perception,” not because they are academically better (in all fields) than any other universities in the country.

And there is no amount of tax money that is going to undo that fact, because the people who write the laws and levy the taxes are all within the very group that benefits the most from the current system. In fact, they ARE the system.

Whites will still try to keep Asian out, only without Affirmative Action, it will be easier to keep out blacks and Latinos too. Concluding that Affirmative Action is causing the discrimination against them shows that Asian did not learn their history.

You can each turn against other minorities, arguing that what they are demanding or getting is not fair. Or you can recognize that the entire system is constructed in a way that is unfair.

Its interesting people brought up Jewish quotas in the past.

I looked at the figures and 25% of Harvard is white Jewish today despite them making up just 6% of top achievers and 3% of population.....So i was right about 'affirmative action' being only for select minority groups! lol

'Holistic' approach seems to mean Jewish faculty ignoring grades and just giving places to Jews because they are Jewish. Obviously, if Harvard was serious about diversity these numbers would have to be drastically cut. Instead its Asians and white non-jewish being rejected to make room for quotas.

Positive discrimination *shudder*

Come on it is racism the only reason it isn't because they've made it so racism against White's it justifiable.

But it seems those Asians are tasting it now.

Sure it wont be so bad as saying White's should not apply on jobs.

Ashkenazi Jewish, as opposed to Sephardic or Mizrahi Jewish.
Dr Thomas Sowell has an interesting take on this. A well respected economist and the author of more than a dozen highly acclaimed books, he worked three jobs to pull himself up from a being black man fresh out of the Marine Corp. You can catch his talks on YT.
He points out that over 60% of the black students at MIT are in academically on a warning. ( sorry cant remember the correct term) due to their being placed, thanks to affirmative action, in courses where they cant keep up the pace. If white students had been artificially placed on these courses they would be in trouble too and in above their head. He says they are easing their left wing guilt but doing these 60% no favours and they would undoubtedly achieve more being placed in good colleges where they are in a group within their ability.

The academic placement part is especially true, even in schools that don't have affirmative action. Blacks in general graduate from schools that are poorer and don't prepare them well enough to do well in college. Blacks and Latinos get absolutely demolished, especially in introductory STEM classes and end up dropping out or changing majors to "easier" ones.
Found it!

"If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labelled a radical 60 yrs ago, a liberal 30 yrs ago and a racist today"
Thomas Sowell.
