Birks Grange Village Studio Rooms

So I am doing clinical psychology and I have just been offered accommodation at block j birks grange village. How is the accommodation like in terms of the walk to uni/lectures/convenience stores. Also how big are the rooms - and i checked the virtual tour and seems as though the shower and toilet is separated with a curtain??
Also how are the students like who live in block j - are the quiet because it is a studio room flat or do they socialise in the corridors lol any knowledge would be appreciated!
I am in Block J too, so see you there. I probably see an issue though, in terms of low demand for studio room inside the campus. I am doing Economics and Politics btw. See you there!
Heyyy! really nervous but thank you for the reassurance
What do you mean by studio rooms not being popular

The high price may put some off. Plus there are maybe better alternatives off campus for some, but that was only a prediction. What I suspect is that we will have to make our presence known in blocks around us to give us some hope when socialising. Are you planning on going up in the arrival days or after that, during freshers?

Do you book the arrivals or do they choose a day for you? Have you also received a welcome email with you student id, uni card etc?

Thanks!

I think you just come in on any of the 3 days, and hopefully we will get a follow up email soon with other details.

Can someone please tell me something about the studios ahahaha? I feel lost. So are the kitchenette in the room the only kitchen we get? No shared kitchen and no communal area? Only i didn't apply for the studio; it wasn't on of my choices.

I'm exactly the same! getting really worried about it all because I don't know anything about them :/
This is in my induction email:

Townhouses have 12 bedrooms and six bathrooms spread over three floors. Students share a large kitchen/diner/living area on the ground floor. En-suite rooms are in cluster flats of up to eight rooms, sharing a kitchen/diner. Studio flats are arranged in corridors within separate blocks. All these rooms are located in recently-constructed modern blocks.

Which means no shared kitchen. This was also there:
Each studio room provides an open-plan living space and includes a double bed, workspace, en-suite (facilities include toilet, washbasin and shower) and small kitchenette/diner. Studio kitchens are equipped with a microwave oven and 2-burner hob, fridge with ice compartment, kettle, and dining table. In your room you'll find a bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, bookshelves, desk lamp or built-in lighting, curtains or blinds, mirror, noticeboard, and waste bin. Studios have double beds (6 ft 10 in x 4 ft) - don't forget that you will need to bring your own bedding including pillows and a duvet. (The mattresses are seven inches (20 cm) thick so fitted sheets are not recommended.)
