I think it's always worth a go! Loads of things have been revived by giving them a cheeky 'rebrand'
I'm definitely interested aswell

Such a shame. RIP.

Hello, it's a big ask but we need the name of the place to be changed and seven sub-forums created titled with the names of the European Union parties; Group of the European Peoples’ Party, Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, European Greens-European Free Alliance, European Conservatives and Reformists, European United Left-Nordic Green Left, and Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy. Could the usergroup be set up in the same way as the MHoC where people only need to join the party sub-forums?

The voting chamber can remain the same but someone needs access to it so they can put things to vote, and the content form the MUN needs to go somewhere, maybe all moved to the archive forum. Once everything is ready to go a new speaker can be elected to lead the group.

I'm working on this now, I've noticed there is a Model UN wiki so it might be worth looking at this and seeing if we should update it?

I changed the name of the forum but do you want me to leave the old threads in there or move them into one of the sub forums and close it?

edit: ignore that

What do you want to do with the charter reform sub forum?

Thank you.

I thought the charter reform could either be renamed to be used as a party sub forum or it could be used to house all of the MUN threads.

I see two of the Parties, sorry to jump in now if it's still WIP, but are we going to start out the MEU with the 7 parties, and then go from there and close if any are totally inactive after a period of time?

Hey,

Sorry I went out to get lunch... I am still working on the parties, it is simple to close a forum if it isn't needed!
@mobbsy91 I think the seven parties are going to be created but the change is only half way through, there is still lots of MUN threads be moved.

No worries! Was just wondering as I'd seen two! Yeh, that definitely sounds good! Depending on initial interest at least we may find that having 7 is just spreading too thin at the start, but sounds good!

Yup! As I said above, there were two created, so was just wondering if we were starting with those two, or all of them! Cheers!

Thank you, QC. As a final thing, is it possible I could have access to the Voting Chamber forum once it has been cleared, and once people have joined the party they like can the sub forums be hidden at a later date allowing on the members to see them?

Great, once it has been written we can then write a rough one for parties until leaders are found.

Absolutely! You got anything written up on some google docs or anything like that yet?
Also, is the wiki going to be sorted in a 'secondary' phase of the transformation? It's been renamed in the side bar, but the URL still points to the UN wiki with that name... or is it going to be effectively a 'new' wiki?

Are the main forum threads going to be open for any person to post? Because it says only EU members can post.

I favour having an open main forum for anyone to post in, but when this was tried there turned out to be some technical difficulties with people not able to post, hopefully it can be sorted.

Was that to do with the usergroup for only registered users being able to post? I suppose, if it can't be totally open, then having it so anyone in the 'Registered User' usergroup could post would be better than just those who've applied to the usergroup?

I do not understand what you mean by that but the aim was to open the MUN up to the same level the MHoC is opened up, the only groups people must join is the division lobby and party forums. When it was tried, I am not sure what was done, but the usergroup went, however, people could still not freely post in the MUN.
