How important is HD to you?

If you're watching something either on Netflix, YouTube or anywhere, is it absolutely essential in this day and age to be able to stream it in HD (high definition)?

I'm wondering about this, because 4K is now readily available and so HD almost appears to be like a basic expectation.

I don't mind so much if something isn't in HD, but if I've been watching in HD for a long while, downgrading to SD (standard definition) feels a bit odd until I forget about the video quality.

How do you guys/gals find it?

I always watch HD. If there is a movie on sky which isnt on a HD channel then i wont watch it

I'm more keen on Ultra-HD and 4K these days. HD is the bare minimum IMO. Can't stand normal quality anymore.

Standard HD is only 720p, though even that is feeling very outdated nowadays.

I don't feel a need to go above 1080p right now, though QHD (1440p) is definitely where I would go if I upgraded the size of my monitor.
