Le subjonctif....well i am in Year 11 but i got taught them they are cool! LOL
Subjunctives are when you want to say Before i go, or it is necessary that. It is similar to when the Queen speaks ! (only example i could use)
For example:
Avant que j'aille.....which means before i go
Il faut que j'aille...it is necessary i go
Avant que je fasse...before i do

They are all i can think of seeing as i don't fo a level.
I'm not sure when you would use them in the context of an exam....but i know they are like conditionals and i am not sure of how to make them. I think it is the present but some are irregular.

aye its a lot more far-reaching than that; you can use them after all sorts of conjuctions (aim, wish, superlatives, to name a few) and then theres imperfect subjunctive etc etc

I threw a few into my speaking exam for gcse, i hope the examiner fools off their chair, as they are meant to get you high marks?LOl

à = ALT + 0224
ç = ALT + 0231
è = ALT + 0232
é = ALT + 0233
ê = ALT + 0234
î = ALT + 0238
