and no if your told not to bring it then dont
If they haven't mentioned it, then take it anyway. But if they've specifically said it's not needed then don't take it

I wouldn't think McDonalds would give a **** what you've achieved. They are going to pay you six quid an hour to flip burgers and wipe tables - they're not looking for a genius. Can you remember your own name and perhaps even say it without dribbling down the front of your shirt? Do you know when you need to go to the toilet? If you can answer yes to these questions you should be perfectly employable. If you can answer yes to only one of them you're borderline.
